Concept and Participating Artists
Luminaire, a group exhibition / installation of light.
CONCEPT: A luminary is defined as an object or person that gives off light. Fire and light are traditional symbols of celebrations held on the darkest day of the year, also known as the Winter Solstice, (December 21st of this year.)
For three months, in order to memorialize what many consider one of the darkest years of our time, and to remind everyone of a possible brighter future and the “light” or hope within all of us, a group of artists will create a variety of works of art that emit light in a pitch-black exhibition space.
